WHEN YOU FORGIVE, YOU BECOME HUMAN

(Twenty-four Sunday in Ordinary Time)
Sunday, September 17, 2017.

You are a human being because you have the power to use your reason, to appreciate beauty, to reflect on your feeling. And most importantly, because you have the power to forgive. If you lack that power, you are not human.
Forgiveness makes you human for the following reasons:
– Forgiveness is not merely a way of behaving; it is rather a way of life. That is to say, in order to live as a true human being, one must forgive others.
– Forgiveness knows no limits, neither in quality nor quantity. Is it enough to forgive seven times? “I say to you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times” (Matthew 18:22); in other words, always!
– Forgiveness does not end in a unilateral action; it is continued in all the interactions between all men. This is why the one who is forgiven is expected, in turn, to forgive others.
– Forgiveness opens the doors to life; it is the never-ending source of life in human history.

In order to be able to forgive you must:
– Understand that all humans share the same human dignity.
– Understand that the wrong inflicted upon one is a wrong inflicted upon all.
– Expect that the suffering of one person should move everyone else to compassion.

THE BEST WAY TO KNOW YOURSELF

(Twenty-first Sunday in Ordinary Time).
Sunday, August 27, 2017.

If you want to know yourself, all you need to do is to look at yourself. Once you do it, you will find out that God created you in his image and likeness. That is to say, God gave you his goodness and truth. Furthermore, you will find out that God created every human being in his image and likeness, just as he created you.
However, if you cannot see that everyone is the image and likeness of God is because you still do not know God.
If people in the world have a problem seeing God is because they harm and destroy each other. Obviously, those are not the acts of God. Therefore, we must begin to respect our brothers, and only then we will be able to call God ‘our Father’.
But if you cannot bring yourself to seeing people as your brothers, you can still ask God to give you the ability to do so, and he will grant you what you ask.
Finally, when you are able to know that every human being is a child of God, then you would have reached your goal of knowing yourself.

GOD’S REVOLUTIONARIES

GOD LIBERATES.
Your union with God will never subjected you to a servile, blind faith. On the contrary, it will give you strength to fight against  any injustice in the world.

YOUR FIGHT AGAINST HUNGER.
If you want to effectively feed the hungry, you must courageously denounce those whose policies promote massive hunger.

GOD’S REVOLUTIONARIES.
When the victims of oppression cry out to heaven for justice, God resorts to those revolutionaries who understand how to bring justice to the oppressed.

¿HAVE YOU FOUND GOD?
If your belief in God does not lead you to a head-on collision with our unjust world, you need to keep searching for God.

THE FIGHT AGAINST UNJUST LAWS.
Remember that the law is for man and not man for the law. Remember that the unjust law brings death, and justice brings life. Therefore, you have no other course of action but to eliminate the unjust law and bring life to your brothers.

MIRACLES FOR BEGINNERS

TRUE MIRACLE
To believe in miracles is a miracle in itself.
_____________
INCENTIVES TO DISCOVERY
Miracles are the first incentives God grants us in order for us to discover the hidden power in our human nature.
_____________
FAITH AND MIRACLES
The stronger your faith in God, the less you need miracles. Because miracles are intended to strenghten your faith.
_____________
HAPPY TO SERVE
Mother Nature does not mind miracles. She is just happy to serve God in whatever way he wants.
_____________
AN EMBRACE
A miracle is an embrace between God’s strength and man’s weakness. When man has faith, his weakness is transformed into God’s strength.

He aquí cómo vive Dios:

LIBERATION IS AT YOUR HAND

(Pentecost Sunday)
Sunday, June 4, 2017.

The Spirit of God is a Spirit of liberation, a spirit that remains alive in you, active forever.
The Spirit liberates humanity
Liberation is a departure from the structures of an oppressive and unjust world that leads to fragmentation, decay, and death. Those who receive the Spirit of God renew fullness of human life in them, a life that knows no death, a life of unity, equality, and peace.
The spirit of God frees you from overwhelming fears, from the indifference that turns your heart into a stone, from the anxieties that sink you in deep despair, from lack of understanding, from conflict.
If you reject liberation, you  condemn yourself to live in a decaying, disfigured world, a world, which destroys the innate unity and equality among men, a world, which harms human dignity.
If you fight for liberation you bring an end to the structures of injustice, division, and death.
If you achieve liberation you restore yourself to your original state of being the image and likeness of God – the God who created man to live in unity and equality.

LET GOD LIVE IN YOU

(Sixth Sunday of Easter)
Sunday, May 21, 2017.

God lives in you because through his commandments, he gives his life to you. He tells you, “You are in me and I in you” (John 14:20); “I live and you will live” (John 14:19).
Through his commandments, God gives us his life. And by keeping his commandments, we live in him and become one with him, and with all the members of the human race.
How do we live the life we receive from God?
– By seeking the welfare of all, not so much because we are impelled to do so by an external commandment, but because our life is united to the life of all our fellow human beings – what is ours, is also theirs.
– By seeking the welfare, not only of those who think or behave like us, but those who think and behave differently than us. That is, those who might be, or are our enemies. The life we receive from God is, necessarily, for all humans on account of his commandment of universal unity.
The Spirit of God – “the Spirit of truth” – comes to live in those who keep his commandments. However, “the world cannot accept the Spirit of truth, because it neither sees nor knows it” (John 14:17).
Those who live under the mentality of the world do not see or know the Spirit of Truth because they are concerned only with their own selfish interests (or those of their group or their nation). They do not establish unity with those whom they rule over or intent to rule; on the contrary, they create an ever-widening gap between themselves and others. Under these circumstances, it is not possible to establish a community of life between those who give the law and those who receive it.
When God gives a commandment, he gives himself with it, establishing an unbreakable unity of life with the recipients.

A TRIBUTE TO ALL MOTHERS

(Fifth Sunday of Easter)
Sunday, May 14, 2017.

God became a human being in order that a human being may lead us all back to God; so we may join him in his way; and so “where [he is, we] also may be” (John 14:3).
And, when the God incarnate become a human being he chose our mothers to be the model and example of the love that leads us to God.
Our world does not accept that a human being can possess God’s nature because our world exploits human beings; thus it becomes unacceptable that he, who is subject to exploitation, may even remotely share in the divine nature, let alone be the Way to God.
The reason for God to become a human being was to restore us to our lost dignity of being the image and likeness of God, to restore our ability to live in unity, and to free us from mutual destruction.
This is how we return to God:
1. By seeing God in every person.
2. By understanding that there is no other way to go to God.
3. By doing the works of God.
4. By restoring our ability to live in unity and equality among ourselves.
5. By living as liberated people, liberated from everything that chains us to evil, and by allowing God to grow in us.
6. By accepting that God shares his nature with our human nature.
Whenever we begin to love one another with the same love mothers have, we will have found the way that leads to God, we will have found a way to eradicate mutual destruction.
May a mother’s love be always a reality in our world.
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!
