Man’s work is the standard by which economic value is measured. When all men, through their work, possess the means to meet their needs, economic wealth exists; but when, even one single man does not have the means to meet his needs, human poverty appears in everybody.
PAYING HOMAGE TO IDOLS
In the times of the Roman Empire, many people were thrown to the lions for refusing to pay homage to the idols of money and power. In modern times, it appears that many people would willingly throw themselves to the lions to earn the privilege of paying homage to the idols of money and power.
