(Second Sunday of Lent)
Sunday, March 17, 2019.
If you wish to live like a true human being you must live in peace with everyone. Thus, you will free yourself of every evil and will enjoy happiness.
Universal peace “will change our lowly body to conform to a glorified body” (Philippians 3:21).
Those who are willing to live in peace with all, will “conduct themselves according to the model of unity and equality, the model of liberation (Philippians 3:17).
While those who refuse universal peace will “conduct themselves as enemies of humanity. Their god is their stomach; their glory is their shame” (Philippians 3:18-19). Their god is their stomach means that their god is greed, imperial aggression, and the accumulation of wealth.
They resort to all sorts of wrongdoings in order to satisfy their stomachs. Their glory is their shame means that their wrongdoings are their glorious deeds. What they consider their glory is actually their shame in the eyes of humanity and God.
