(Second Sunday in Ordinary Time)
Sunday, January 20, 2019
If you want to turn your scarcities into abundance you must resort to mutual cooperation in the production of goods and then distribute them among all according to everybody’s needs. Otherwise your abundance will be as tragic as scarcity.
What are our scarcities
At the individual level, we are running out of economic means for survival, of willingness to care for our fellowmen, of peace, of joy, of patience, of hope, of courage, and even faith in ourselves.
At the collective level, we are running out of justice, equality, peace and respect among nations.
How to restore abundance
In order to restore abundance:
We must restore peace, mutual respect, cooperation, and understanding among individuals and nations. We must eradicate aggression, predatory wars, and economic policies that produce hunger and starvation all over the world.
Remember that life is like a wedding where we all have the responsibility of producing and consuming the wine of the banquet.
