The empire commits a crime when it invades other countries to rob them of their oil and other natural resources.
The empire commits a sin when it lies to the public opinion claiming that such robbery is done in order to protect freedom and democracy in the world.
The presence of sin – which hides in the empire’s conscience – results in tragic consequences for humanity because it makes it difficult to detect the presence of a crime. Even when the manifestation of the crime is obvious, the empire legalizes such crime.
